Lee David Bowen from Swansea graduated from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in 1999 after studying acting at Gorseinon College where he was awarded a diploma in Performing Arts.

Lee now studies with Dennis O’Neill, Ryland Davies and Michael Pollock.

Operatic roles include Malcolm in Macbeth, Trin in La Fanciulla del West and L’Abate in Andrea Chenier all for Opera Holland Park, First Armed Man/Priest in The Magic Flute for Opera North, Remendado in Carmen for Mid Wales Opera, Dancairo in Carmen, Sellem in The Rakes Progress and Guillot in Manon for English Touring Opera. Lee also sang the role of Piangi in the West End production of Phantom of the Opera.

Lee has performed extensively as a guest artist for many choral societies in England and Wales and he has appeared at the Millennium Stadium Cardiff.

Recordings include the voice over for Piangi in the 2004 film version of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Phantom of the Opera.

Recent roles include The Man in ‘Dolfin Opera’ by Julian Philips for Welsh National Opera.
